March 2013, the Minister of Youth and Sports of Mozambique had a meeting with local associations to hear about their problems. ASM went to the meeting to propose that the Minister support the construction of a community skatepark. Such a space would provide hundreds of youth with the opportunity to skateboard, build community, and develop confidence and resilience. ASM is currently supported by SKATE-AID, ISF and CBSk.
